The 13 -month -old boy dies after receiving the help to sleep Zzzquil; 2 women accused of murder, according to the police

Peoria, Ill. (WEEK/Gray News) – Two women in Illinois face murder charges for allegedly giving a child to sleep for adults before the baby died.

A Grand Jury of Peoria County accused Tasheaunna Williams, 26, and Nausicca Thomas, 27, for first degree murder positions for the death of a 13 -month -old boy.

The authorities also charged the two aggravated battery women.

Police said they were initially called to the OSF Saint Francis Medical Center on December 19, 2024 for a baby who does not respond.

The boy, later identified as Williams Hezekiah, died at the hospital on December 27, 2024.

The authorities said the two women gave an “excessive” dose of the help of sleeping free to Ezekiah.

According to the office of the state of the state of Peoria County, Tasheaunna Williams and Thomas were arrested on January 10, but initially were not accused of murder because the toxicology tests were pending.

Since then, prosecutors have submitted a motion requesting that women remain in jail to their judgments.

Tasheaunna Williams and Thomas have their reading scheduled for February 27.
