I tried the follow -up powers of the dream of the OnePlus Watch 3 against our best smart ring, and it was not up to it

Quite close, right? He was certainly satisfied with the accuracy of the recording of OnePlus’s sleep stage. Where to start the problems was in the interpretation of this data: Samsung gave me a ‘excellent’ dream score of 97, indicating an optimal break, while OnePlus only gave me 74. What does it give?

OnePlus seemed to think that I got a low percentage of deep sleep, with only 17%, as you can see in screen catches below. However, research tells us that this is perfectly adequate; The medically reviewed Sleep base The website establishes that up to 20% of our sleep time must go in depth (or a slow wave dream), indicating that the 17% figure is perfectly normal.

Intrigued, I returned to sleep the night before to see if there were more discrepancies between the ring and the clock. A shorter and more disturbed dream, but the Ring Samsung Galaxy achieved a “good” 84 score against a quite sad 54 for the OnePlus.

Looking closest at the statistics, OnePlus believes I was awake for two hours during the night, compared to the 42 most precise minutes recorded by the Samsung Galaxy ring. This is how sleep stages were seen this time:

Based on my own anecdotal experiences of my vigil times, the research available and the fact that many intelligent rings tend to be better than smart watches in sleep monitoring (we narrate exactly why in our Smart rings vs smart watches Guide) I feel comfortable saying that I trust Samsung Galaxy Ring’s readings about the OnePlus Watch 3.

It is unfortunate, because the OnePlus Watch 3 is very good in many ways, but it is clear based on my tests (very non -scientific) that its follow -up of the dream needs a little work. It is also large and heavy, far from the most comfortable to use for the bed, far from the unpleasant 5G ring of Samsung.
