The wolves manifest after the expulsion of Anthony Edwards, but they fall short against Lakers

The Minnesota Timberwolves fell into a hole of 23 points early, Anthony Edwards was expelled during the third quarter and remained without Julius Randle and Rudy Gobert, and yet the wolves still found themselves in another nail bite.

This time, they could not complete the miraculous return, falling 111-102 against the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night at Crypto.com Arena. But for a minute anyway, they seemed that they could be on their second consecutive return of 20 points.

It was the rookie Terrence Shannon Jr. leading the burden on the return of the fourth quarter. He hit a float, reached the free throw line and knocked down a couple and returned to the edge for a tray for his own 6-0 personal career. Jaden McDaniels made a tray the following possession to limit an 11-0 race since its 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter was reduced to only four.

The wolves (32-28) reduced it to only three points, but Luka Doncic hit an exhausting dagger. Doncic, who started the hot game but had not reached a triple all night, made a circus shot when the Lakers (36-21) needed it more. Naz Reid cut LeBron James on a road to the basket with the shooting clock that ended, and James was forced to deliver it to Doncic, who had Nickeil Alexander-Walker for everything that is. Doncic threw one step 3 when the shooting clock expired. Whistle.

He gave the Lakers a 98-91 advantage with 3 minutes, 38 remaining seconds, and that proved sufficient to be a cushion for the

Doncic shot only 6 by 20 but ended with 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists. James looked at each part of his legend, scoring 33 points, in addition to 17 boards, six assists, a block and a robbery. Austin Reaves scored 23 points.

Shannon scored a team, to the maximum of a team, 25 points from the bank and added five rebounds and two assists. He brought a necessary energy and was a clear bright point on one night, the wolves fought from the doors: Minnesota fired only 32% in the first quarter and finished 35 for 84 (42%) of the field for the game, and the frustrations were injured.

Edwards picked up a technical foul after the first quarter bell after entering a fight with Jarred Vanderbilt. Then, in the third quarter, he collected his second technical lack of the game to obtain expelled from the contest. That technology was also its 16th of the season, resulting in an automatic suspension of a game. That means Edwards will be suspended for Friday night against Utah jazz. The frustration was evident when he threw the ball in the stands when it came out.

Edwards had 18 points, six rebounds and five assists before being expelled.

Donte Divinnzo returned to the alignment after the last 16 games were lost due to a grass feet injury. The wolves did it back with only 23 minutes, but played well, ending with nine points in 3 of 6 shots, 3s, six assists and five rebounds. Divinnzo registered a better team more than more than 15. Shannon was in the tail like a plus-11 in the game.

The wolves really did not have it from the early field, fighting powerfully in the first quarter. That was particularly true for Alexander-Walker and Reid. Alexander-Walker found some rhythm, finally ended with 14 points in 4 of 10 shots, but Reid never had anything, scoring only three points in the shooting of 1 by 10. He had 12 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the Lakers ran out of the doors. Doncic was playing after play that asked a question: why the Dallas Mavericks trade this boy? That included cross court passes, Pull-Up bridges and a full court pass to James for a transition tray. Doncic had 11 points, five boards and four assists in the first painting when the Lakers took an advantage of 33-17.

The wolves did it late, but finally they could not do it enough to overcome the hump.

They will have a quick change, but they will be without Edwards, when they visit jazz for a notice of 8:30 PM on Friday.
