Dead child in the crash of North Hairson Road

Dekalb County, Ga. – A child was killed and another was seriously injured on Friday night after being beaten by a vehicle in Dekalb County, authorities said.

The accident was reported for the first time at 7:21 pm at the intersection of North Halenton Road and Central Drive, according to the Dekalb County Police.

What we know:

According to Dekalb County Police, both children set up a bicycle when they were run over by a vehicle. The driver, who was becoming a complex of townhouse at that time, was not injured. The Department Traffic Specialist Unit has been called to investigate the incident.

The boy who died was only 3 years old, says the police.
