Nottingham castle closed after the teenager hurt seriously in stabbing

Nottingham’s castle closed after a teenager was seriously injured in a stabbing that three people were arrested after the incident in the city center on Friday night.

Police say that they were called to a party in an apartment at the door of the hounds, near the attraction, at 11.42 pm a 17 -year -old boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, which is not believed to be potentially deadly.

A second 17 -year -old boy and a 16 -year -old girl were also injured in the incident. An 18 -year -old man and four 17 -year -old children have been arrested in relation to the incident and remain in custody, according to the police.

There are currently several roads, including Hounds Gate, Maid Marian Way, Standard Hill and Lenton Road as the investigations continue this morning (Saturday, March 1).

A spokesman for Nottingham Castle has confirmed that it is temporarily closed due to surrounding road closures, Nottingham Live Reports.

The land is generally open to the public that wishes to access the museum and gallery, coffee shops and shops from 10 am

The Inspector Detective Chris Berryman of the Nottinghamshire Police said: “We believe that this incident occurred during a party on a floor and we are working to understand the events in the previous moments, during and after what happened.

“In particular we want to know of anyone who was inside the floor, or who witnessed people who left the scene shortly after. Dashcam drivers are also asked to contact if they witnessed any part of this disturbance.

“This type of violence is completely unacceptable, and we will do whatever it is necessary for the person or people to be responsible for these injuries to justice.”

This week, a teenager declared himself guilty of a stabbing at the city’s Primark store. A 17 -year -old boy suffered wounds who do not mortal life in his chest inside the store in Long Row last Sunday.

While the police are also investigating a fight that is said to involve machetes on the street of the Bass Parliament, with two men aged 31 and 28, after being arrested under suspicion of Afraza.

Superintendent Kathryn Craner said: “I am aware that last night events, and recent incidents related to the knife in the city, will be a cause of great concern for many members of our community.

“At present, there is nothing to suggest that this incident is linked to the main of the week. However, we will maintain an open mind while last night events are meticulously investigated.

“We will continue to maintain a high and visible presence in the city to provide peace of mind and talk to anyone who has concerns.
