The murder trial will take 6-8 months after the man declares himself innocent to kill by contract

Hired murder

She said that Teixeira had escaped an objective shooting only a few days before Khabra’s death, and suspected that Khabra was involved in some way in the attack. Prosecutors claim that Teixeira informed their “associates” of their suspicions and then accepted a $ 160,000 contract to kill Khabra.

Mortal meeting

The prosecutors say that Khabra and Teixeira left their vehicles and began to speak friendly between them. Wiedemann said Teixeira’s associatedPerson X, “was frozen and in a state of shock and remained in the vehicle.”

Person A, who was inside Khabra’s vehicle, was beaten by multiple bullets. They accelerated immediately and called the police, which was a short distance from the dead end.

Meanwhile, in the crime scene, Wiedemann told the court that person X watched as “Khabra was lying on his back” and “the defendant was stopped right in front of him and shooting.”

Person X then saw Teixeira’s jam, and it seemed that “the defendant was a gun by whipping Mr. Khabra while lying in the grass,” said Wiedemann.

Prosecutors claim that person X left the car and gave Teixeira a second weapon, which also stuck. Khabra then tried to escape, running in front of a nearby house, but Teixeira followed him and stabbed him several times, prosecutors claim.

The accusations have not been tested in court.

The first witnesses testify

RCMP CPL. Kenneth Ho testified on Tuesday and Wednesday. He was the first officer in the crime scene.

“I saw the victim rolling,” Ho recalled. “As I approached me, he said the word ‘shot, shot, shot’. (His voice) was very hoarse.

During the interrogation, Teixeira’s defense team interrogated him about the visibility in the crime scene and reviewed the footage, to which he recognized that it was dark and difficult to distinguish certain colors in the vehicles.
