Brooklyn Man sentenced to life imprison

Brooklyn, NY – A Brooklyn man has been sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of probation for the murder in the execution style of a bookstroke in East New York, prosecutors announced on Friday.

Terrence Reece, 32, of Bedford-Stuyvesant, was convicted of first degree murder after a jury trial on January 31. The Judge of the Brooklyn Supreme Court, Eugene Guarino, imposed the maximum sentence.

“This defendant executed cruelly and unnecessarily (the victim) while trying to steal him,” said Brooklyn district prosecutor Eric González. “My thoughts are with their familiar and friends.”

According to prosecutors, on July 26, 2019, at approximately 3:30 am, Reece got into a taxi driven by Noman Salemi, 29, and discussed the rate before forcing the driver to a remote place near Atlantic Avenue and Williams Avenue. Reece then ordered Saleami to get out of the vehicle, made him kneel and shot him once on the cheek. After waiting for a period, he shot a second fatal shot in the back of Salemi’s head.

Reece stole the victim’s wallet, which contained less than $ 100, and fled in the cabin. Later he left the vehicle outside his wife’s residence and undid her of the murderer.

The researchers recovered DNA and digital footprints that link Reece with crime. It was arrested on August 16, 2019, after greater investigation.

The case was processed with the assistance of police assistants of Homicide John Homnick and Suleimy Santos.
