Dangerous Persons Alert Canceled

The Dangerous Persons Alert is cancelled.

Two suspects were arrested in the Tobin Lake area.

There may be two other suspects outstanding and they may be on foot in the Tobin Lake area.

As a result of an ongoing investigation, the Saskatchewan RCMP has determined that this incident no longer meets the criteria for a Dangerous Persons Alert.

We continue to monitor the situation and updates will be provided when available. If an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public.

Residents in the Tobin Lake area may notice a continued increase in police presence.

It is important for motorists to note that Highway 123, north of Lake Tobin, is blocked due to the ongoing search and police presence. The public is asked to avoid the area.

Update #3: Prince Albert RCMP warns public about dangerous people

Officers from multiple Saskatchewan RCMP units and detachments are now in the Thunder Rapids area and continue to search for the suspects. We have no further investigation updates at this time.

The dangerous person alert remains in force; We ask that people in the Thunder Rapids area stay in a safe place with doors and windows closed. People in the area should not stop to hitchhike or approach suspicious people.

People in other nearby areas should take precautions.

Investigators continue to ask the public to report any information or sightings of suspicious people to 911.

Update #2: The suspects are now believed to be on foot in the Thunder Rapids area on Highway #123. They are no longer in the vehicle. The public is advised to STAY AWAY from this area.

There are several suspects. They are considered armed and dangerous.

If you are in and around Thunder Rapids: Seek immediate shelter or shelter in place and close and lock doors and windows. Do not leave a safe place. Be careful with someone asking you for a ride. Don’t pick up hitchhikers. Do not reveal police locations. Use caution if you are not in the areas immediately described.

Update #1: Prince Albert RCMP warns public about dangerous people

The suspects were last seen with a gun at approximately 10 a.m. on Highway 123 northbound toward Cumberland House. They are still in the white 2020 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab with green toolbox and Saskatchewan license plate RNF 50.

The suspects are described as three or four men. They may be wearing black bandanas or black balaclavas. The suspects are believed to have been armed with a gun and were considered dangerous.

Prince Albert RCMP are warning the public about dangerous people involved in multiple vehicle robberies involving firearms.

On October 24, 2024, at approximately 8:30 am, Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a robbery north of Prince Albert, SK.

Initial investigation determined that an individual was in a vehicle driving near the White Star Lift north of Prince Albert, SK when he was approached by several males in a vehicle.

The individual was shot by the suspects. They have been taken to hospital with unknown injuries. The suspects stole the individual’s vehicle.

The suspects are described as three or four men. They may be wearing black bandanas or black balaclavas. The suspects are believed to have been armed with a gun and were considered dangerous.

They may be driving a white 2020 Dodge Ram with Saskatchewan license plate RNF 50. (Yes, there are only 5 characters.)

The suspects are believed to be traveling near the intersection of Highways 55 and 123 near Prince Albert.
