Man remains in custody in connection with three drugs charges in Killarney | Radio Kerry

A 29-year-old man is in custody in connection with drugs Crimes in Killarney.

Pau Cortes Cubero of Tudor Lodge, Woodlawn Road, Killarney appeared at Tralee District Court facing three charges.

Cortés Cubero is charged with possession of cocaine for sale or supply contrary to section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Laws.

He also faces two counts of possession of cocaine, contrary to Sections 3 and 6 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

The 29-year-old appeared before Judge John King at Tralee District Court via video link from Cork Prison.

Through a Spanish interpreter he confirmed that he could see and hear the court.

His lawyer, Brendan Ahern, told the court that Cortés Cubero was charged the day before and that a bail application will be made to the High Court.

Ahern said his client is trying to raise money to post bail, but it’s a complicated issue.

Mr Justice King remanded Mr Cortes Cubero in custody to appear at Tralee District Court on November 6 via video link.
