Leeds teenager suffers ‘serious head injury’ after electric bike accident

A teenager has suffered “very serious head injuries” after a collision between an electric bicycle and a car.

The accident occurred shortly after 13:00 GMT on Sunday at the junction of Lombard Street and Sherbrooke Avenue in Leeds and the 16-year-old cyclist remained in hospital on Monday, West Yorkshire Police said.

The driver of an Audi Q7 was arrested on suspicion of drug driving but has since been released under investigation.

Police have asked anyone who saw the collision to contact them.
