Noah Mawene: Newport County suffer six-week midfielder injury

After ending a three-match losing streak at Gillingham, Newport return to Rodney Parade on Saturday to take on Fleetwood, who are one place behind them in 14th in League Two.

The Exiles are assessing midfielder Bryn Morris, who was forced off at half-time in midweek, although Jardim said it was a “precaution”.

Meanwhile, defender Shane McLoughlin is still out of the picture with a knee injury.

The Bronx-born Irishman was injured in the 4-1 home loss to Port Vale in early September and is not expected to be available until mid-November.
