Knustford: M6 worker hit after car hits cones

A motorway traffic management worker was seriously injured after a Mercedes driver hit him with a cone, police said.

Road crews were closing two lanes of the M6 ​​northbound near the Knutsford services at around 21:30 BST on 18 October, when a driver collided with one of the cones being put in place, which then hit the worker.

The worker suffered serious facial injuries, Cheshire Police said.

The driver of the white car, believed to be a 2012 Mercedes, did not stop at the scene.
