I-10 closed in Phoenix after pedestrian struck by vehicle

PHOENIX (AZ Family) — One person is seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle overnight on Interstate 10 in west Phoenix.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said around 4 a.m. that police are investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on I-10 near 35th Avenue.

DPS said the pedestrian was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Troopers closed eastbound I-10 at “The Stack,” the interchange with I-17. All eastbound traffic will be detoured to exit onto northbound I-17.
