Harris has been backed by a number of high-profile Republicans in recent months, all with equally dire messages about a second Trump presidency. These include former Arizona senator. Jeff Flakeformer Kansas Senator Nancy Kassebaum, Kansas State Senator Sandy Praeger, former Vice President Dick Cheney and Trump’s former press secretary Stephanie Grisham.

Also on Friday, former Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan and former Massachusetts Gov. invoice welding—both Republicans—will campaign in Pennsylvania, where it must be won, with the Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

Duncan played a key role in resisting pressure from the Trump administration in 2020, when there was an attempt to call a special session of the Georgia legislature to tilt the election result in the former president’s favor.

He has since described Trump as “one of the biggest mistakes these countries have ever made,” in a 2023 interview with NPR.

Harris was slightly ahead in the Keystone State until recently, according to FiveThirtyEight, but her lead has been erased, and Trump now leads by just 0.3 points.

This week, Harris has had the support of some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry, including Eminem, Bruce Springsteen, Samuel L. Jackson and Beyoncewho will reportedly appear today at a rally with the vice president in Houston.

And the host of stars doesn’t end there, with singer Mandy Moore and Scandal Star Kerry Washington will join the campaign trail on Friday. Washington will be in Pittsburgh for a press conference. Moore will join Minnesota First Lady Gwen Walz at a rally in Marquette, Michigan. Moore will also participate in a campaign event in Ann Arbor with Chasten Buttigieg, Pete Buttigieg’s husband.

Harris leads in Michigan by 0.7 points, her largest electoral margin of any swing state. Trump’s biggest lead in swing states is currently in Arizona, where he is 1.8 points ahead.
