The giants talk about Watt, Wilson and more

Quarterback Daniel Jones on the Steelers defense and playing in Pittsburgh:
“Good defense, tough place to play. Obviously, we’ve heard about that. But we’re focused on ourselves. I think putting a lot of time and energy into them and what they do. I’m focused on us and playing well.” As a group, we re-did a lot of the things we were doing and then improved them from there. Obviously, last week wasn’t a good game, but at some points we played with the rhythm, we executed it. “We have to get back to that and that’s what we’re focused on.”

Linebacker Bobby Okereke explains what makes it difficult to play in Pittsburgh:
“They have a great history, a great culture in that organization and a lot of pride. Their fans carry it every game. That black and yellow, you really feel it on game day. So understand that you’re entering into an Understand that they want to play the old school football. Play great defense, run the ball and take care of it. So, we’ll have a big challenge ahead of us.”

Okereke on whether that kind of challenge brings a team together:
“Sure. In a hostile environment, you have that ‘Us against the world’ mentality. Definitely, a cohesive group is what will give us a victory.”

Wide receiver Darius Slayton on playing in Pittsburgh:
“From what I’ve heard, it’s an intense football environment, obviously very hostile. There are very passionate fans there in Pittsburgh.

“That’s what I’ve heard from all the accounts and obviously in the film their defense is very talented. They have a really good front. They have talent and youth at the back. They have backs that adapt to aggressiveness, and I think that probably in the past… even before some of you were born, the Steelers have lived up to a standard on defense.
And they’ve kept it up for a long time, and they still keep it up that way.

“Obviously it’s going to take a physical four-quarter game to beat them.”

Guard Jon Runyan talks about what he sees in the Steelers defense and how difficult it is to play in Pittsburgh:
“I think the Steelers have probably been one of the best examples of consistency in this league. They’ve been doing very well, very solid for a long time.

“Their defense hasn’t changed in a long time and they have the right guys, they have the right culture. They have playmakers all over the defense and that’s what they pride themselves on there in Pittsburgh.

“Everyone knows that they have very good ends on both sides and that they are big and strong on the inside. They have great support in the backfield and the linebackers are playing very well now as well.

“Tough, tough defense, but there will be a great atmosphere on Monday night in Pittsburgh. I know Pittsburgh is a big football town and on Monday night, in the fourth quarter, when they start playing their music and the towels start to shake, it will be an incredible atmosphere. I’m looking forward to it. I’m sure it will be very noisy. I feel like that’s one of the environments we thrive in. So far this year we’ve played in some tough environments and I know the place. “The guys will be excited and ready for this.”
