Lanza also said Trump would not publicly address the allegation.

“He doesn’t need it,” she said. “We’re going to move forward. We’re going to talk about the issues that matter to the American people, which are immigration and the economy.”

Alencia Johnson, a senior adviser to the Harris campaign who appeared on The situation room Along with Lanza, he pointed to the long history of sexual misconduct allegations against Trump. He also noted that a jury had found Trump responsible for sexual abuse last year. Trump has denied all allegations.

Asked by Blitzer what the impact of the latest allegation might be, Johnson said: “It crystallizes this question… How do you agree with a man who has actually been found responsible for all of this? If there are lists and numbers of women “They keep coming out and talking about how they’ve been assaulted by this man, how are you really going to justify voting for someone like that?”

Harris’ survivors “are women who have said enough is enough,” Johnson added. “And I think this also gives permission to independent companies and Republican “Women who are actually tired of this dangerous culture that Donald Trump has introduced.”

Lanza said that “the dangerous culture is that every time we get close to the election, the Democratic Party is going to find an activist, the super activist that we discovered that files an accusation.”

When Blitzer pointed out Trump’s history of accusations, Lanza said there was also “a history of women making this stuff up.”

“We saw this in 2016: a lot of women came forward and no evidence was presented,” she said.

“How dare you?” Johnson responded. “How dare you trivialize women’s experiences and say that we made up these stories, because that’s not true.”
