Principal charged after serving a bong to teens on video, police say

KENTON COUNTY, Kentucky (WXIX/Gray News) – The principal of a Kentucky high school faces charges after video showed him drinking and serving alcohol to two high school students, according to the Kenton County Police Department.

Anthony Procaccino, 50, principal of Scott High School, appears in a New Year’s Eve 2023 video holding a beer bong while two teenagers, ages 16 and 17, drink alcohol from it, the police department said.

In the video, a man identified by police as Procaccino can be seen in a room with his beer pipe and cans of Truly on a table.

Police said the video was taken inside Procaccino’s home.

At the time, on New Year’s Eve 2023, the Kenton County Police Department said Procaccino was the principal of Whites Tower Elementary School.

The investigation into the incident came after police said they were contacted over the weekend of Oct. 19 and 20 by the mother of one of the teens in the video.

“Apparently this is not the first time this has happened,” the mother said.

Body camera video was obtained from a Kenton County police officer interviewing the mother.

The video is blurred to protect the mother’s identity and her voice is also altered.

In the video, she tells the officer she is worried her son will face retaliation because the mother called the police.

The girls appear blurred in the video because they are minors.

“He is a grown man in a position of power. You are 15 *beep* years old, you are not going to convince a man,” said the mother.

The mother also expressed concern about the revealing clothing the teenage girls were wearing in the video alongside the director.

A Kenton County Schools spokesperson referred WXIX to their original statement on this from earlier this week.

On October 21, Kenton County School District Spokeswoman Jessica Dykes said in a statement that they are aware of the investigation.

“This is a personnel matter,” he said Oct. 21, “and Cody Wolf, assistant principal at Scott High School, has been named interim principal at this time.”
