Hamilton County Board of Elections sees record early voters

CINCINNATI (WXIX) -The Hamilton County Board of Elections is assisting more than 45,000 early voters in person, a record number.

Thousands of voters lined up at the election board to cast their ballots on Friday.

According to the secretary of state’s website, the total number of ballots returned in the county is 91,856. In 2020, the state had a total of 1,339,764 early in-person ballots.

Hamilton County Board of Elections officials say they have more than 40 registration stations and plenty of workers to keep the process as smooth as possible.

“A smooth, easy process… and honestly, I think everyone else should go out and vote, knowing that it will be great for our country, no matter who they vote for, I think everyone should be able to express their opinion and what really matters.” said voter James Parrott.
