Man identified in fatal crash involving city bus earlier this month

COLORADO SPRINGS – A man has been identified following a fatal crash involving a city bus earlier this month in Colorado Springs.

According to the El Paso County Coroner’s Office, it was 46-year-old Anthony Durham.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), there have been 43 traffic deaths this year. Last year at this time there were 52 deaths from traffic accidents.

Previous information

The accident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on October 12 at the intersection of Austin Bluffs Parkway and Regent Circle, located near UCCS.

According to CSPD, the accident involved an SUV and a city bus. The driver of the pickup truck, later identified as Durham, was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

CSPD’s investigation revealed that the bus had a green light and was stopped at the intersection when the van struck it.
