Driver seriously injured in crash in New Madrid County

NEW MADRID, Mo. (KFVS) – A Sikeston man is seriously injured after a crash in New Madrid County, Missouri.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol accident reports, the accident took place at 4 pm on Friday, October 25. The driver was heading north on County Road 405, 10 miles east of New Madrid.

The accident occurred when a 2006 Nissan Titan left the left side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, identified as James E. Stinett, 47, of Sikeston, was transported by Air EVAC to Regional One in Memphis, Tennessee, for treatment of serious injuries.

According to MSHP, it is unknown if it was wearing a security device.
