KTR Kin raised drug culture in state: Aadi Srinivas

Karimnagar: Chief minister and Vemulawada MP Aadi Srinivas on Sunday grilled BRS working president KT Rama Rao, challenging his stance against drug culture amid allegations involving his brother-in-law.

Srinivas asked, “What will you tell people when they ask you how you misled them by claiming that you were totally against drug culture?” He further accused Rama Rao and stated, “When your brother-in-law Raj Pakala was involved in the drug business, how can you claim ignorance about drugs? Raj Pakala has ruined the lives of many people by promoting drug culture in the state. “Many families have been destroyed due to drugs introduced by members of Chandrashekar Rao’s family.”

He urged the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the rave party held at Janwada farm, which belongs to Rama Rao’s brother-in-law, and punish those involved in the illegal activities.

Earlier on Sunday, Chief Minister Whip Aadi Srinivas along with Fisheries Chairman Mettu Saikumar, Additional Collector Khimya Naik and Vemulawada RDO Rajeshwar released 80,000 fish seedlings in the Mid Manair Dam (MMD) reservoir in Rudravaram village. Praising the initiatives of the Congress government, Srinivas said, “The Congress government has been releasing fish seedlings free of cost in lakes, ponds and reservoirs as part of a state-level movement.”

He highlighted the government’s efforts to educate the fishing community about cage farming and raising fish seedlings, adding that subsidies will be provided for the establishment of cage farming units for fishermen.

Under Congress administration, Rajanna Sircilla district is witnessing growth as a spiritual hub. Srinivas said, “Recently, the government released Rs 50 crore for various development projects of the famous Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada.”

He highlighted the government’s commitment to environmental and spiritual development, with the aim of improving the district’s infrastructure and supporting local communities.
