Fatal Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Crash, Followed by DUI Arrest

BAY COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A crash in Bay County Saturday night left an Alabama man dead and a Panama City man facing a manslaughter charge.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers said that around 11:00 p.m., a pickup truck was traveling north on 14th Street and a motorcycle was traveling east on US Highway 98 in the outside lane.

Troopers said the truck ran a stop sign and drove directly in front of the motorcycle, causing it to crash into the car.

Authorities said the 60-year-old motorcyclist from Albertville, Alabama, died in the crash and his family has been notified.

They said the driver of the van, Manuel Flores Toledo, 62, of Panama City, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash and is charged with DUI manslaughter.
