Trunk or Treat 2024: Travis County Sheriff’s Office hosts annual event

Austin, Texas – Costumes and candy made for a spooky evening with the Travis County Sheriff’s Office at its annual Trunk or Treat event.

Superheroes, athletes, clowns and princesses gathered at the event at TCSO headquarters on Airport Boulevard.

“For us, it’s a lot of fun to interact with the community and see all the kids dressed up and meet the families,” said Kristen Dark, public information officer. “For the community, it’s fun to come out and see what our employees have done with our police vehicles.”

All of the TCSO vehicles were decorated with different themes and kids were able to vote for their favorite.

“We continue to improve the game every year because we want to win. Our units want to earn that bragging rights,” Dark said.

It is a fun event and the same is expected on Halloween night when children go out into the neighborhoods.

“Have fun. But with the awareness that there are heightened activities, there are kids running around and it’s just a time to be a little more courteous when you’re driving through the neighborhoods,” Dark said.
