Mendocino Hosts Exciting Mushroom Pairing Events This November

Whether you prefer beer, wine or whiskey, there’s a mushroom pairing event for each in Mendocino County in November, starting with the Mushroom, Whiskey and Wine Train on November 2.

Hop on the Skunk Train at 11am in Fort Bragg and ride through the redwoods to Glen Blair, an open-air bar.

Once there, sip local wines and whiskeys paired with delicious mushroom bites by the cozy campfire. Tickets are $195 and a portion of the proceeds will benefit MendoParks. Buy at mendoparks.org. 100 W. Laurel St., Ft. Bragg.

The following week, at 6:30 pm on November 8, Little River Inn will host Russian River Brewing owner and brewmaster Vinnie Cilurzo for its annual Mushroom and Beer Dinner.

Chef Marcus Dym and Cilurzo have collaborated on a mushroom-packed six-course menu, with each dish paired with a different beer from Russian River Brewing Company.
