Donovan Mitchell calls out Darius Garland’s detractors after teammate’s career night

NEW YORK – The final buzzer sounded and Cavs star Donovan Mitchell headed straight for Darius Garland, his maligned defensive partner.

The two screamed with joy and then shared a big brother hug after Cleveland passed its first real test of the regular season: a 110-104 victory against the rival New York Knicks in which Garland played a leading role. The Cavs are one of three teams still undefeated.
