KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 — Homeowners affected by the weekend flash flood in Taman Seri Alam, Bandar Saujana Utama in Sungai Buloh are demanding RM10,000 each in compensation from the developer responsible for the town’s water retention pond. area.

“The dam broke at the same location and the flash flood was much more severe, affecting about 200 houses, of which 100 were significantly damaged,” said Paya Jaras assemblyman Datuk Ab Halim Tamuri.

While the developer had previously offered compensation of RM1,000 per home following the first bund collapse in 2015, the owners are now demanding a much higher payment due to the extensive damage that occurred this time.
