34-year-old man ordered to pay compensation to Sefton Hotel

A Douglas man has been jailed after causing damage to a hotel suite overnight.

Jamie Christopher Hall, for Cronk Grianagh, appeared at Douglas Courthouse where he admitted damaging property belonging to the Sefton Hotel.

On November 16, the 34-year-old man punched a hole in the wall and damaged the closet doors.

He also admitted possession of Class C drugs – Clenbuterol and Pregabalin – on the same date, as well as a separate charge of possession of the latter drug on September 8.

The court heard Hall was already in custody at the Isle of Man Prison after his license was withdrawn.

Imposing a 28-day prison sentence and ordering Hall to pay £200 compensation, Senior Constable James Brooks told him: “You have a poor record of offending.”
