In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Kate revealed how she will spend Christmas this year.

She said: “I’m spending Christmas with my mother-in-law, who is from the Czech Republic, and she makes traditional Czech food, so it will be interesting.

“On Christmas Day she makes roast turkey and all the trimmings, and she makes me a delicious cauliflower cheese, which I really enjoy, and a great potato salad, like a traditional Czech potato salad, which I love.”

Family is at the center of Kate’s life and she has been able to pay tribute to her father’s love of cricket in a fun new project celebrating the game and its culinary links around the world.

Launched last month, Taste of Cricket is a celebration of diversity in the game and features a selection of delicious recipes that represent the sport.

Some notable names appear within its pages, among them Ainsley Harriott and her Jamaican beef burgers, Stephen Frythe maple cinnamon buns and, of course, Kate, whose vegetarian lasagna sounds amazing.

Looking forward to her Christmas plans this year, Kate opened up about her love for dogs and making sure they are as comfortable as possible during the festive celebrations.

She said: “So we’re spending Christmas Day with my mother-in-law and about 15 dogs, because her partner is a dog walker, so we’re surrounded by about seven dogs, it’s great, I love him.

“On Boxing Day we are going to celebrate our own Christmas Day, just me and my family, my husband and my daughter.

“We love going to Hampstead Heath to walk the dogs, putting our dogs in their Christmas jumpers and just going for a nice walk, removing all the food you’ve eaten.

“Then we’ll leave for New Year’s Eve, because I can’t stand fireworks on New Year’s Eve, I think it’s totally unnecessary.”

The TV personality previously expressed serious concern about the impact of fireworks on pets as she continues to push for greater restrictions.

Now Kate will leave the city behind to avoid a repeat.

She said: “I think they should be banned, and my dogs are absolutely terrified of them, so we’re going to go to a house in the middle of the countryside, where hopefully it will be nice and quiet, and we’re going to have a nice New Year’s Eve indoors.” , we’ll play board games and have a drink, and that will be my New Year’s Eve, it’s pretty low-key.”
