Emmerdale’s New Year 2025 flashforwards lead to death and danger

emmerdale‘s New Year’s Eve The episode has previewed a deadly and dangerous year for several characters in 2025.

It was previously confirmed that tonight’s episode (December 31) would feature five jaw-dropping flashforward scenes.giving viewers a glimpse into the future of several characters whose stories are currently front and center in the town.

The episode concluded with the villagers counting down to the New Year in the pub, interspersed with tense scenes of the coming year.

“For the future, whatever it is,” Moira said, before the first of five flash-forwards showed Mackenzie Boyd running frantically through a forest. Are they chasing him or are they chasing someone else?

The second flashforward brought about a deadly fate for Caleb Miliganwho was shown in a hospital bed with his monitor turned off.

The third featured Cain Dingle mourning at a grave, but whose? After undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumor, Cain’s wife Moira was told her treatment should continue because she now needs radiotherapy.. Could your health get worse?

Despite their turbulent relationship, it’s also possible that Cain is mourning his half-brother Caleb, whose fate we now know is at stake.

The fourth flashforward featured a wrapped body being thrown into the river, with no clues as to whose body it is or who is disposing of it.

The fifth and final flashforward featured an unknown figure trapped under the ice, desperately calling for help.

Before the flashforward was shown, the camera focused Joe Tate and David Fletcher raising their half-hearted glasses until 2025. Could one of them be the unfortunate victim?

emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is broadcast on ITVX.
