Crawley Town match is suspended 20 minutes before kick-off

Crawley fan Chris Morris, who was on the pitch, said it was the right decision.

“I’m not surprised at all, it’s dangerous, players could break their legs,” Morris said.

“I live in Crawley so it’s not that bad, but I feel sorry for the Charlton fans. I think they could have (made the decision a little quicker).”

Players from both clubs had been warming up moments before the match was canceled and fans left the stadium.
