19-year-old Indian influencer commits suicide during Instagram live stream

Ankur Nath, a 19-year-old social media influencer from Nawagarh in Chhattisgarh, India, committed suicide while live streaming on Instagram.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday in Janjgir Champa district, was witnessed by at least 21 followers who were unable to intervene.

Reports suggest that Nath had been battling emotional turmoil following a heartbreak, which is believed to have contributed to his decision.

His parents, who reside in Hyderabad, expressed shock and are unable to provide further details.

During the live broadcast, some followers tried to contact Nath, and some locals rushed to his house in Nawagarh, about 150 kilometers from Raipur.

However, when they arrived they found the house closed and, although the neighbors broke the door, it was too late. Nath was declared dead by doctors at a nearby health centre.

Police are now investigating his phone to understand the circumstances behind the tragic event. Nath had been an active user of social media and regularly posted videos that attracted significant attention.
