The pilot who survived a fatal helicopter crash while filming Netflix’s Outback Wrangler has been photographed for the first time since the incident left him paralyzed.

The couple’s Robinson R44 helicopter, which was owned and operated by Wright’s Helibrook company, sank in the King River in West Arnhem Land in the remote Northern Territory.

Since the accident, Ms Wilson has been left raising the couple’s two sons, Ted and Austin, alone.

The couple had been married for almost a decade before the fatal accident.

Recently, the Civil Aviation Safety Authority canceled his commercial pilot license and his company’s air operator certificate.

CASA began enforcement action against at least six pilots following the NT helicopter crash that killed Mr Wilson.

He will face a trial on charges related to the helicopter crash, starting July 7, which is expected to last eight weeks.

The Netflix celebrity has pleaded not guilty to perverting the course of justice following the accident.

The only charge relates to alleged behavior after the accident in which Mr Wright was allegedly one of the first to arrive at the scene.
