Judge Laura Bruniard said in her ruling that there was evidence that both men sold cocaine to the singer on two separate occasions.

Liam Payne’s heartbroken family are “desperate for justice” after four hotel workers and the star’s friend are charged over his tragic death.

Both were warned they could face between four and 15 years if convicted.

The other three suspects, Liam’s close friend, Roger Nores.The hotel’s head receptionist, Esteban Grassi, and the hotel’s head of security, Gilda Martín, have been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

They face between one and five years in prison. prison if he is convicted.

Judge Bruniard said moving Liam from the hall to his third-floor room when he was clearly in a bad state “created a legally unacceptable risk to his life”.

Speaking to Argentine television channel América TV, Madeo said his client had arranged to meet Liam after speaking to him at the Buenos Aires restaurant where he worked.

Paiz was a “lifelong One Direction fan,” so he wanted to hang out.

Madeo continued: “She was fond of Liam and liked him.

“She took advantage of the meeting she had with him at the restaurant where she worked and they exchanged messages.”

Paiz has always denied having sold Liam any substances.

Madeo said any suggestion to the contrary is “absurd.”

“Under Argentine drug laws, the free supply of drugs without exchange of money has a much lower criminal scale,” he continued.

“And there is another possibility which is that when there is an occasional and intimate supply between two people without affecting third parties, the criminal scale decreases considerably.”

Madeo has previously been quoted as saying his client is a frequent drug user, but claimed Liam “reached out” for Paiz.

LIAM’S former One Direction bandmates issued a joint statement following his death, as well as emotional individual tributes to the tragic star.

They said: We are completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone can do it, there will be more to say.

But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, whom we loved dearly.

The memories we shared with him will be treasured forever. For now, our thoughts are with his family, his friends and the fans who loved him alongside us.

We will miss him very much. We love you Liam. -Louis, Zayn, Niall and Harry.

Luis Tomlinson wrote: “His experience from a young age, his perfect pitch, his stage presence, his gift for writing. The list goes on.

“Thank you for molding us, Liam.

“I want you to know that if Bear ever needs me, I will be the uncle he needs in his life and tell him stories of how wonderful his father was.

“I would like the opportunity to say goodbye and tell you once again how much I love you.”

zayn malik said: “Liam, I found myself talking out loud to you, hoping you could hear me, I can’t help but selfishly think there were so many more conversations we could have in our lives.

“I could never thank you for supporting me through some of the most difficult times in my life.

“When I was homesick when I was 17, you were always there with a positive attitude and a reassuring smile and you let me know that you were my friend and that I was loved.”

He added: “When it came to music, Liam, you were the most qualified in every way.

“I didn’t know anything in comparison, I was a rookie kid with no experience and you were already a professional.

“I lost a brother when you left us and I can’t explain to you what I would give to give you one last hug and say goodbye properly.

“I will cherish all the memories I have with you in my heart forever.”

AND harry styles wrote: “I am truly devastated by Liam’s passing.

“His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honor to be with him while he did it.

“Liam lived completely open, with his heart in his hand, he had an energy for life that was contagious.

“He was warm, understanding and incredibly loving.

“The years we spent together will always be among the most precious of my life. I will always miss you, my dear friend.

“My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicola and Ruth, his son Bear and all those around the world who knew and loved him, like me.”

Niall Horan said: “I am absolutely devastated by the passing of my incredible friend, Liam. It just doesn’t seem real.

“Liam had an energy for life and a passion for work that was contagious. He was the brightest in every room and always made everyone feel happy and safe.

“All the laughter we’ve had over the years, sometimes over the simplest things, keeps coming to mind through the sadness.

“We were able to live out our wildest dreams together and I will cherish every moment we had forever. The bond and friendship we had doesn’t happen often in life.”

It comes as the grieving Payne family say they are asking for “justice” after the charges were filed.

A family friend told The Sun: “It has been a very difficult time.” Christmas for them but now they just want justice for their son.

“Finally, after a horrible couple of months, there is a feeling that this might be possible.”

He returned to the United States three days before Liam’s death.

It is claimed he then turned to drink and drugs and was involved in a series of arguments.

In the days after the horror, Liam’s heartbroken father Geoff, 66, visited the hotel.

She saw flowers and tributes left by fans and remained in the country until she was able to repatriate her son’s body last month.
