Hollywood Reporter Warns About Trump, Ignores Biden’s Censorship

Point and laugh at The Hollywood Reporter.

After four years of Team Biden pressuring Big Tech to crush dissent on social media, not to mention Team Biden pressuring the media to squash any word about President Joe Biden’s mental deterioration, they’re going to warn the world about Donald Trump and censorship.

The silly headline of this silly article is “Trump’s Media Censorship Arsenal Is Growing.” Beware, the subtitle says: “A new roadmap for the president-elect and his advisors to relax freedom of expression “It has emerged when he points to the networks that criticize him.”

Nowhere in this 1,000-word joke does the young Berkeley-educated writer Winston Cho mention Biden or his team’s distasteful record. censorship and “chilling” negative reports in any way, shape or form.

Journalists in the left They hypocritically wear the mantle of democracy and freedom of expression while tolerating the crudest censorship and political pressure to serve the most powerful democrats. So let’s consider the hilarious idea that Donald Trump is going to turn the anti-Trump media into a harmless wool basket full of toothless kittens.

Trump’s evening news coverage on the networks has routinely and relentlessly been 90% negative in every study we’ve conducted at NewsBusters. But the left seems terrified that Trump might pressure the media to make it, what, 70% negative? At one point during the last campaign, the vice president Kamala Harris was attracting 100% positive afternoon news coverage on ABC.

Then, of course, Cho’s panic began when ABC settled a lawsuit with Trump instead of allowing us to see all of George Stephanopoulos’ internal emails. We can’t have the slightest chance that ABC News and Stephanopoulos will somehow transform into a slightly more moderate network.

He continued the idea that Trump would have this Supreme Court review the New York Times v. Sullivan, which makes it almost impossible for public figures to sue malicious and/or corrupt media outlets.

“The specter of Trump tearing down a pillar of First Amendment jurisprudence has emerged as one of several weapons in his censorship arsenal,” Cho wrote. Democracy and journalism somehow survived before The New York Times won the Supreme Court in 1964.

Then there’s journalists’ unintentionally hilarious concern that Trump shouldn’t use “legal warfare” to make their lives difficult and expensive. Oh, really? And what do you think they’ve been tirelessly promoting and using as a weapon all these Trump years? The lawfare shoe was delicious…on the other foot.

Third, there are concerns that Trump’s arsenal includes “loyalists who act as heads of regulatory agencies and who can divert networks from coverage critical of him and his administration.” FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr is making noise about reviewing TV news coverage, so “long-term incentives remain to stay out of Trump’s crosshairs by toning down conflicting coverage.”

These people are terrified at the prospect of “toning down conflicting coverage.” Perhaps they would witness less use of words like “fascist” and “end of democracy.” Maybe Trump will simply be described as “dumb” and “stupid.” Cho is appalled that Stephanopoulos can’t repeatedly claim that Trump is a rapist.

Mediaite founder Dan Abrams recently admitted that “there is a level of Trump derangement syndrome among some who are completely incapable of giving him credit for anything.” Any encouraging words about Trump are “normalizing” him.

The abnormal people here are the Trump rants who can’t seem to understand that all presidents try (sometimes gently, sometimes roughly) to “tone down the adversarial coverage.” These haters simply cannot be honest enough to confess that they do not object to Democrats like Biden censoring critical narratives and pressuring journalists to avoid negativity and repeat the Democrats’ happy talk.
