A man from the city of the Union allegedly urinated in the tomb of the teenagers, lighting the rivalry of Oakland gangs and the crime spree that ended in the murder of Boy’s

Oakland – A day after killing a teenager in the middle of a dispute between two gangs at war, Jacobi Gaines reached social networks as he had frequently done during the previous two weeks, authorities say.

On his Instagram page, Gaines, then 18, was published with the same red jacket as the surveillance video represented when he shot and killed Hasan Humphries, 17. Then he published a song, specifically with the lyrics, “First we hit him in the chest, then in his head,” as prosecutors say he had done Humphries a day before.

Gaines was sentenced earlier this month for first -degree murder, car theft, robbery, assault with a mortal weapon and possession of weapons, as shown by the judicial records. The murder of Humphries of January 13, January 13, marked the end of a six -week crime spree that included violent crimes and teasing of social networks that revived a violent rivalry between two gangs, authorities said.

In total, prosecutors documented 14 alleged crimes that involved Gaines, most of which occurred for a period of six weeks in 2019 to 2020.

It began in November 2019, when Gaines allegedly urinated on the tombstone of a 17 -year -old Skyline High student named Keith Lawrence, and published the video on Instagram.

Lawrence, shot dead in Oakland in March 2017, was an alleged associate of the case gang, a group that has long rivalities with the city of West Oakland Gang Ghost, of which Gaines is a member, says the police. The mocking video caused the planned Gaines test, with several members of the case taking note and responding with own threats and plots, according to the authorities.

Humphries was shot dead while walking along the sidewalk of 48th Avenue in Oakland around 4:45 pm of January 13, 2020. The police say the car online and stopped the car, shot the Humphries And he left.

He later published on Instagram, and tried to eliminate, the alleged admissions vaguely written to the crime, including a position that said “kill or be killed” and the one with rap letters. The most incriminating evidence were photos of himself with the same jacket as the shooter had used, prosecutors say.

Three days after the murder, when the police raided the house of the city of the Union de Gaines, they allegedly found the homicide weapon outside a window of the residence, lying on the grass. They petta Gaines in Custody, where he has been since then.

Gaines denied the participation in the murder of Humphries, writing in a motion prior to the judgment that allowing the confrontation of the jacket to become evidence would make it “condemned by false claims of evidence that is not deemed in fact.” Gaines also told the Police that he was not involved in the murder during an interview in 2020, authorities said.

When the researchers asked him about urinating in Lawrence’s tomb, he just laughed, prosecutors said.
