Joe Exotic Has “Nothing Against the January 6th People,” But Says He’s More Deserving of a Forgiveness (Exclusive)

Joe Exotic has a message for the president donald trump.

“I’m pleading with President Trump. I’m not begging, but I’m asking him to take five minutes and look at the evidence,” star of Netflix true crime series tiger kingwhose real name is Joseph Allen Maldonado, says Weekly entertainment.

Maldonado is currently incarcerated at the Federal Medical Center in Fort Worth, Tex. called Trump in the past to pardon him of the 21 criminal charges on which he was convicted in 2020, but has revived and intensified the call in recent weeks, posting numerous graphics to instagram pleading his case.

“Being in prison with the evidence I have is wrong, especially when they release people who have murdered people,” he says. “I have nothing against the people of January 6, but some of them people really hurt some police officers and they are free because they were hostages. Hell, I am a hostage, I am a political prisoner in the United States, and I ask the president Donald J. Trump put an end to this and let me go home.”

Maldonado was arrested in 2018 on suspicion of hiring two men to murder Carole Baskin, the founder of Florida’s Big Cat Rescue and his former rival. The events leading up to the supposedly successful attempt and the subsequent legal proceedings form the events of the viral transmission series.

He was finally sentenced to 22 years in prison in 2020 on 17 counts of wildlife crimes and two counts of attempted murder.

Maldonado has maintained his innocence since his incarceration, saying that he “has all the evidence to prove that I am innocent on my website.” He argued his case in 2022 before a federal judge and was resentful at 21 years old Despite pleas for mercy as he underwent treatment for cancer.

Maldonado says: “It’s not just Trump. It goes back to Biden too. Shots are fired everywhere, releasing people like Viktor Bout, $6 billion doing all these foreign trades and nothing against Brittney Griner, but she got on a plane with illegal drugs. And he not only knowingly flew across state lines, he flew across international lines.

The imprisoned media personality says it’s hypocritical that “We have so many people, especially me, but I’m no better than anyone who’s in prison, innocent, who hasn’t had a fair shake.”

Former President Joe Biden pardoned a list of people during his final days in office, including a preemptive pardon for Dr. Anthony Fauci, former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health; members of the committee that investigated the attempted January 6, 2021 Insurrection; and his own son, Hunter Biden. Trump issued hundreds of pardons on his first day in office, including nearly all people charged with crimes related to the attempted insurrection.

“Good for the January Sixers, good for the pro-life protesters, everyone who got pardons and everything else,” Maldonado clarifies. “But seven years of my life for nothing. My parents are dead. I lost my business, which is supposed to be the American dream, to work and own your own business. I think I’m leaving.”

Maldonado says: “I could take the time if someone thinks I’ve done something wrong and I can move on with my life as a criminal, because he’s the president as a criminal. And if you can become the president of the United States as a criminal, Hey, I can end my life… I can end as happily as a criminal. Who am I, but because it’s the right thing to do.”
