9 accused of alleged smuggling scheme in Los Angeles and Long Beach Ports

Los Angeles (CNS) – Nine people, including Logistics Executives, store owners and truck drivers, were allegedly orchestrated a smuggling operation that is believed to have escorted $ 200 million in falsification and other illegal products from China to the United States through the complex of ports of the beach of Los Angeles, federal, federal, federal. Eight of the defendants were arrested on Friday and Saturday, while a ninth person still remains in general, according to the office of the United States prosecutor.

All were appointed in a 15 -position federal accusation that returned last month and revealed on Friday.

Prosecutors claim that participants in the scheme would take shipping containers that were marked for additional inspection in the ports to an installation outside the site, where smuggling goods were discharged and stored in warehouses, while the containers were filled again with “Fill load to deceive customs officials and evade the application of the law.”

According to the United States prosecutor’s office, the investigators seized more than $ 130 million in goods, who said they believe that the contraband ring led to at least $ 200 million in goods that were illegally taken to the country.

Prosecutors said a raid in a warehouse last summer led to the seizure of $ 20 million in falsified products such as shoes, perfumes, bags, clothing and watches.

“Maritime ports and safe borders are critical for our national security,” said the American lawyer in Los Angeles Joseph T. McNally in a statement. “The smuggling of large amounts of smuggling of China through the largest ports of our Nation harms US companies and consumers.

The prosecutors said that the seven defendants arrested appeared in a federal court on Friday and declared themselves innocent of the positions. The eighth is expected to be processed in the next few days.

According to prosecutors, those appointed in the accusation were:

  • Weijun Zheng, 57, of Diamond Bar, who is still a fugitive and controls several logistics companies that operate in the Los Angeles area


  • Hexi Wang, 32, from El Monte, K manager based on industry& P International Logistics LLC, which hires truckers to boost shipping containers from the port of Los Angeles


  • Jin “Mark ” Liu, 42, from Irvine, the owner of K& P International Logistics LLC, who also administered the finances of a warehouse where he downloaded contraband


  • Dong “Liam ” Lin, 31, from Hacienda Heights, who, along with Zheng, controlled and operated one of the smuggling warehouses


  • Marck Anthony Gómez, 49, from West Covina, Fannum Trucks LLC, who allegedly coordinated the shipping containers movement from the port of Los Angeles


  • Andy Estuardo Castillo Pérez, 32, from Apple Valley, a M4 transport driver Inc., a Carson -based company that transports shipping containers from the port of Los Angeles


  • Jesse James Rosales, 41, from Apple Valley, who allegedly coordinated truckers from the ports to the warehouses


  • Daniel Acosta Hoffman, 41, of Hacienda Heights, who allegedly worked with rose to carry load containers from the port of Los Angeles to
    Warehouses


  • Galvin Biao Liufu, 33, from Ontario, who allegedly directed and directed truck drivers who brought smuggling to the stores
