‘Without compensation’

Esb Networks has confirmed that customers who suffered power outages due to the storm will not be eligible for discounts on their bills.

The company told Irish Mirror that they generally aim to give customers’ at least two days’ warning ‘for any service interruption.

Not doing so results for national clients to receive € 35 and companies that receive € 130.

This is not the case of storm damage or the extensive interruption of electrical supplies, which the spokesman said it was considered an “exceptional case.”

The publication added that Eir would not compensate clients either because interruption is an “act of God.”
