Seriously injured pedestrians in Vandalia after being hit by a car at the intersection

A person was hospitalized after being hit by a car on Wednesday.

The Missouri state road patrol (MSHP) reported that a Lincoln Town car in 1999 traveled west in W state street in Vandalia on January 29.

The 89 -year -old driver was going through the intersection of W State Street and S Walnut Street when they hit a pedestrian.

A 60 -year -old woman was seriously injured after being beaten and was taken to the University Hospital.

MSHP said the driver wore the seat belt when the incident occurred.
