Worcester woman stabbed, alleged man with a knife found, says the police

A 50 -year -old is in police custody in relation to a stabbing in Worcester who left a hospitalized woman, the Worcester Police Department said Thursday.

Gunga Collis de Worcester faces assault and aggression charges with a dangerous weapon, police said in a statement.

Around 12:58 am on January 30, the officers learned of an assault reported with a dangerous weapon in Front Street, the department said. The officers found a woman with a white weapon wounds in the arms and legs. It is not clear if their injuries were potentially mortal or not, but was taken to the hospital.
