Tottenham suffers a new scare of injuries when Glenn Hoddle worried about the ‘serious reverse’ | Soccer | Sport

Tottenham’s injury crisis showed signs of finishing after defender Radu Dragusin was forced during his Europa League match against Elfsborg on Thursday.

The Romanian had only replaced Micky Van de Ven in what seemed to be a planned replacement in the part -time interval.

But the center-peak asked to be removed after suffering what seemed like a potentially serious knee injury.

Dragusin went to clear the ball in the touch line and while he planted his foot, his right leg was crooked, leaving him in agony and feeling around his bruise.

The 22 -year -old tried to return to the field and continue after a brief conversation with Posttecoglou.

But his return time in the field was short for the young man, since he immediately fell to the floor and pointed out a change.

Postecoglou was accused of his counterpart Oscar Hiljemark to bring Dragusin again to ensure that the spurs could make a substitution, which led to some words exchanged by the two managers before the fourth official intervened.

Dragusin lasted only 21 minutes when it was replaced by Dane Scarlett, with Yves Bissouma moving towards the heart of the defense with Archie Gray.

The hero of the Spurs Glenn Hoddle, working in the game as a co-commentator for TNT sports, was concerned about the nature of his injury.

“Dragusin has dropped and took the touch there … Ooh, that was after he played it,” said Hoddle.

“That seems quite serious, because he has played the ball there and he has gone. Then he landed and Wow, then surrounds him.”

The commentator Sam Matterface said Dragusin pointed directly to the bank and agreed that it seemed a “serious concern.”

Postecoglou had already entered the game without 12 members of the first team, and that was after Van de Ven had returned from an injury.
