SERUTELY WOUND BIRD AFTER BEING BY A CAR IN NEW RIVER

New River, Az (Azfamily) – A child is seriously injured after being hit by a car north of the Valley on Thursday morning.

Maricopa County Sheriff agents say around 7 am, a 12 -year -old boy was crossing the street to get on the school bus when he was hit near 31st Avenue and New River Road. The child was urgently taken to Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where he remains in serious condition.

The sedan driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the deputies.

MCSO vehicle crimes detectives continue to gather evidence and determine what led to collision.
