Seriously injured cyclist after being hit by a vehicle in Butler County

Poplar Bluff, Mo. (KFVS) – A cyclist was hospitalized after being hit by a vehicle in Butler County, Missouri.

According to the report of the Missouri state road patrol, the incident occurred around 6:20 pm on Friday, January 31. The vehicles were on highway B, two miles east of Poplar Bluff.

The incident occurred when a 2006 Dodge caravan hit a cyclist on the road.

The cyclist, a 57 -year -old Bloff crop man, was seriously injured. It was transported by ambulance to the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

According to the road patrol, the cyclist did not carry a safety device.
