AISHAH AKOREDE ‘terrified’ to talk about health in DWTS

Aishah Akorede impressed the judges with their African inspiration samba dedicated to their mother Kemi about Dancing with the Stars, but there was another reason why the routine was so special to her.

He former Miss Universe Ireland He accredited his mother as the greatest influence on his life and a support pillar, since Aishah has treated with falciform cell diseases throughout his life.

Aishah wants to show that you can achieve anything when you put your mind and remember everyone who is always friendly, since people often have things they are trying to not be obvious.

“It’s the most frightening,” Aishah told Evoke, adding: “Opening on national television is not easy to do. I did not expect to do it to be very honest, but I am happy to share my story helps people and now He has done it, since after an event in my old school students he approached me. ”

Aishah continued: ‘Falciform cell disease is not something I speak … and there are some reasons why. Number one, I don’t want people to look at me like my illness. I want people to look at me like Aishah, who has done this, done that, that has helped these people, supported these people. The second reason is that I will be honest, I do not have exactly the same experience as other people with falciform cells have.

‘I am lucky and blessed to have a high hemoglobin F, I am becoming a bit scientific at this time, but this type of falciform cell usually occurs in people from the Middle East, but obviously I am African, so it is quite rare.

‘There are many people who have died that I know or have had to undergo bone marrow surgery due to how serious their health disorder has become, but I have been lucky all these years.

‘I am not saying that I do not experience difficult times. I have painful episodes and I fight with my breathing sometimes and with my immune system I have to be careful to get sick. ”

Although she was worried that participating in a program as demanding as Dancing With The Stars could have had a negative effect on her health, Aishah is delighted to see what the opposite has happened.

He explained that the dance has helped with its resistance and that in a recent appointment, its doctors were impressed by how their “levels were in the clouds.”

Aishah was diagnosed with falciform cell disease at birth, so he is well used to controlling his condition, but his mother Kemi has always been available to help him.

‘Every opportunity I have to give congratulations to my mother, I give congratulations because she is very hardworking and is so genuine that she supports everyone. She is a queen. She is an icon, “Aishah said.

As for whether her mother was worried that she danced with the stars, Aishah said: ‘I am her little baby, I am her princess. She knows that I am a responsible person, but I am her daughter and is very important for her that she is fine. She cares a lot and assures that she is fine.

‘She has a lot of knowledge about the condition because she is a scientist, so if that means doing my juices every day or verifying if I have eaten, she does. I am really grateful for her. She is not worried because she knows that I am someone who never stops.

Now that your condition is outside, Aishah hopes to help educate others about falciform cells and remember people that many conditions are not seen.

‘Many people do not see the things that people are happening. I just want to spread a message of kindness in general. I really want people to be friendlier and more comprehensive in other people’s situations because they never know what people are happening.

‘I hope my story can motivate other people to be more friendly, be more understanding. That is the main thing. Very well said, Aishah!
