Youth between 2 serious injured in shooting in the hueytown shopping center

The shots exploded at the River Square Plaza shopping center in Hueytown on Tuesday night, wounding two people, including a minor.

The shooting occurred around 8:45 pm

The Hueytown police and firefighters responded to the mall and arrived to find the two injured victims. An adult man was injured in addition to the child.

Additional details on the victim’s identifications have not been published.

Both victims were taken to the hospital with injuries that threaten life.

Police said investigators believe that victims were there to meet someone. They did not give details, but the shooting was not random, and the victims knew the shooter.

Arrests have not been announced.
