David Brian Pearce declared guilty of murder, violation of two women

A series rapist that attracted women to their orbit lying that he was a Hollywood producer was sentenced by two first degree murder positions in the death of Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola.

A jury of Los Angeles, after two days of deliberation, was put on the side of prosecutors for all the positions, which included the sexual aggressions of seven other victims from 2007 to 2021. The two deceased women met David Pearce in a Warehouse party in eastern Los Angeles before he was fatally drugged in his apartment Beverly Hills. Giles died when he was left in the hospital, while Cabrales-Arzola died eleven days later. An investigation initiated after his death discovered that Pearce had violated several women in more than a decade.

Pearce is scheduled to be sentenced on March 13. It faces 148 years of life imprisonment.

In a statement, the newly installed District Fiscal of Los Angeles, Nathan Hochman, emphasized that his office “will process in the maximum scope of the law, who illegally supply fentanyl and destroy lives, especially those who commit sexual aggressions.” He added: “Today, a series rapist was responsible for the death of Christy Giles and Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, who tragically died as a result of fentanyl poisoning and the victimization of seven other women in Los Angeles”, while celebrating Women who “bravely advanced to inform the crimes committed against them.”

The jury could not reach a verdict on accessory charges after the fact, which is related to the knowledge of a crime, against the aspiring to the actor Brandt Walter Osborn. The court declared a null trial. It is still unknown if prosecutors will seek a new trial.

Giles and Cabrales-Arzola died because of a fentanyl overdose and a GHB date rape drug. They organized a shared travel service to pick them up from Pearce’s apartment within an hour to arrive, but did not leave the residence until 11 hours later, when they were left in two separate hospitals.

Seven women testified of sexual crimes committed by Pearce, who described himself as an “entertainment professional”, although he does not seem to have production credits.
