Shelton man sentenced for supplying fentanyl to the Arias gangs in prison

Shelton’s man, Washington, 66, was sentenced to 90 months in prison on Friday for his role in a drug trafficking ring connected to the gangs of the Aria prison.

Michael Warren was Arrested in March 2023When federal agents moved after a two -year investigation of drug trafficking activities.

A search in Warren’s house in December 2022 presented two pills presses, more than 640,000 fentanyl pills and a kilo of fentanyl dust to make thousands more. Warren also had 23 firearms in Stash house, according to federal prosecutors.

During the case against him, the authorities argued that there was no way to measure the power of the pills that Warren manufactured, which led to the important concerns that their drugs would be considered the mortal consequences.

“We have no idea how strong they are. Sometimes there is a bit of fentanyl in them, there are already a ton, “said the assistant prosecutor of the United States prosecutor, Zach Dillon.” (Drug producers such as Warren) are not professional chemicals. They have no idea how much fentanyl dust should be in any specific pill. “

As part of their sentence, prosecutors successfully argued that Warren knew that many of their fentanyl pills were finally being introduced to smuggling and consumed by gangs of the ARIA prison. As a result, they said that it endangered the lives of inmates who were probably trying to stay clean of drugs, only to fall after bars.

“They have left those drugs for the short time, and if they get access to narcotics, it even leads to overdose in our prisons,” Dillon said. In addition to manufacturing pills and storing them at his home in Shelton, Warren led Arizona on multiple occasions to collect methamphetamine and fentanyl from the supplier of his drug trafficking organization.

At 66, prosecutors said Warren was among the oldest people in western Washington, he was convicted of fentanyl production.

“Drug trafficking is a game of a young man. You would usually see the defendants much younger and certainly not in their 60 years,” Dillon said. “Certainly, age does not prevent you from distributing narcotics.”

As part of the general case against Warren’s drug trafficking organization, leader Bryson Gill appeared on Friday by a statement of guilt for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, possession of a firearm in the promotion of a crime of traffic of trafficking Drugs and conspiracy to commit money laundering, and is scheduled for sentence on May 9, 2025.
