AOC warns that Trump’s Department of Justice could now extort Eric Adams

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) warned on Tuesday that the Department of Justice of President Donald Trump dismissed the charges of corruption against the mayor of New York City Eric Adams (D) Later it could be used to obtain “leverage.”

Occortez was asked about the Department of Justice decision By Spectrum News and replied: “I hope there is a tremendous amount of transparency offered about what happened to that decision and how they came to that conclusion.”

“I think there are many questions that New Yorkers have around the type of wrapped nature of this conclusion. And I think it is incredibly important that the Department of Justice, as well as all involved, present the facts and evidence to support their decision, ”he added.

“Obviously, I mean, they left the possibility that these charges return after the day of the elections. What are you going to look for between now and then in terms of your comment? He followed the journalist.

“Well, you know, I think it is, I think that perspective is very aware of how the president Triumph Opera, how it seems to be destroying in the Department of Justice, the FBI. He is in all federal agencies that install appointed politicians, ”said Ocasio-Cortez, added:

And if they are exercising this perspective that the positions return on a mayor sitting from the largest city in the nation, I think that creates a very significant concern for everyday New Yorkers as to how it could be leveraged in a politicized context.

“Do you have any chance of winning?” Another journalist asked.

“You have to ask the New Yorkers,” the congresswoman replied.

“Do you plan to support the mayor’s race?” He followed the journalist.

“We haven’t … I haven’t approached that yet,” she replied.
