Man accused of 3 duis; Seriously injured victim in Cabo Coral

The Cape Coral Police Department says that a man has been accused of 3 DUI positions after a serious accident at the intersection of Tropicana Parkway and Santa Barbara Boulevard.

On September 15, 2023, the researchers say that Devin Hemminger was traveling east in Tropicana Parkway when he did not stop at a stop sign, colliding with a vehicle to the north in Santa Barbara Blvd.

At the time of the accident, the victim was accompanied by her daughter, a minor, who was not damaged in the incident, according to a police report.

An investigation into the accident determined that Hemminger was driving under the influence at the time of the accident, which resulted in serious injuries for the victim and property damage.

On December 18, 2024, Hemminger was arrested and accused of the following:

— 1 Account in FSS 316.193, DUI with serious bodily injuries, third grade crime

–2 FSS 316.193 violation account, DUI with damage to the person or property, minor crime of first grade

The Cape Coral Police Department also pointed out the following in its press release issued on February 11, 2025:

“It is important to remember that some cases can take time, but that does not mean that they are not being investigated. Collecting evidence through search warrants, citations and other means of investigation may be necessary when developing a solid case that will be maintained in court of justice.
