SL Squadron for the IND ODI series


Mumbai, July 16: Sri Lanka has announced a team of 15 men for the international series of five games against India that will begin on July 21. Bowler of left arm isuru udana, the batter Chamara Kapugedara and the left arm spinner Rangana Herath are the prominent names on the side of Sri Lanka.

Udana, 24, has played six T20i, but has not yet debuted for Sri Lanka in Odi. Kapuguera averages just over 20 in Odi and the last one played for Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup in March. Herath, on the other hand, played the first two hate of the five -game series against Pakistan, but rested for the last three hate.

Rapid bowling players Dilhara Fernando and Nuwan Pradeep, and the Spinner Sajewa Weerakoon, which entered as a replacement for Herath, are the missing players in the team that was named by the Sri Lankist series against Pakistan. Mahela Jayawardne will lead the side of Sri Lanka with Angelo Mathews that serves as a deputy.

India will play five -day internationals and a lone T20 International on its tour of Sri Lanka.

The one day series begins on July 21 with the first game that will be played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium in Hambantota. India has announced a team of 15 members for the ODI series and a unique T20I game with Irfan Pathan replacing the injured R Vinay Kumar on the team at the end of last week.
